If you’re flying from Luton Airport, count yourself lucky as it is one of the best airports in the country, and possibly the world, to fly from due to its wide range of luxury facilities you would expect from a top airport. It is also a carrier for a vast number of airlines so there is a huge choice of destinations within all possible budgets. RyanAir has long since chosen its operations’ base to be at Stansted Airport (a different London airport) but they do still offer a large number of flights and for very, very cheap rates.

Getting to Luton via train is one popular option, especially for business travellers. However, one needs to bear in mind that if you’re travelling with large suitcases packed full of heavy items (clothes are heavier than you might think!), the train is not a particularly suitable option.

Unlike some other London airports, Luton does not have a station directly onsite and therefore the best way to get to the main airport buildings is to get a train to St Pancras and then take another train from St Pancras to Luton Airport Parkway. From the parkway, a shuttle bus is available for a rather nominal fee that will get you to the terminal buildings in good time. A different option for getting to Luton Parkway is to take the bus from Central London – whilst this is a much slower method than catching the train, it is much cheaper so would be apt for those travelling on a budget.
