Parking at Luton Airport is a very easy affair, and there is a wide variety of parking types to choose from – for example, do you want to go long stay or short stay, and would you like to valet park or not? If you choose to park long term (generally for over a week) you can take advantage of prices that work out at under £1 per hour – better than the majority of ‘regular’ city airports in the whole of the United Kingdom. Aside from long term parking however there is also a Mid Term car park which features free drop off and pick up at the terminal, with free parking for up to 60 minutes. A free 2 minute bus-ride will transfer you to different parts of the airport. This is certainly the option to go for if you’re picking someone up! The other option for picking someone up at Luton airport is to go in the short term bays that are extremely close to the major terminals. Parking here is costly however, with a mere 15 minutes costing £3 and half an hour costing £4.50. This does mean that it is only a short 4 minute walk to the terminal.
If you’re dropping off a person with a lot of luggage you may wish to consider a priority drop-off parking slot. The walk is here is only 2 minutes to the terminal and costs £1 for 10minutes. However, someone does need to remain in the car at all times (quite probably for security reasons and to stop people abusing the 10minute allowance).
